October 14, 2004 Bureau of Prisons (BOP) Regional Director R. E. Holt finishes his reign of terror at Yazoo Prison

It appears that Holt, BOP Regional Director decided to finally stop his lawless torture of the prisoners at Yazoo Federal Prison, in Mississippi.

Holt with his king pin O. D. Holland and others at Yazoo, violated the law, needlessly torturing prisoners at Yazoo.

In April about 500 hundred prisoners chose to eat their own food instead of eating the garbage food Holt’s henchmen at Yazoo were feeding prisoners. Many prisoners had continually suffered from food poisoning due to the horrible food provided by Holt at Yazoo punishment prison.

For punishment Holt, O. D. Holland and other higher ups at Yazoo decided to make examples out of around 60 prisoners by torturing them for months in violation of the law.

Holt, Holland and others shipped some prisoners to higher security prisons, for no justifiable reason, while placing dozens in the “hole” at Yazoo.

These high ranking BOP employees knowingly violated the law and kept most of the prisoners in the hole for 6 months. Never even filing any charges against them.

The law: states the BOP can keep a prisoner in the hole for a maximum of 90 days “only”; for investigation.

The BOP doesn’t care what the law says!!

Not only did the BOP at Yazoo deliver food poisoning to the prisoners; they refused to allow them to eat their own food they bought and paid for. In addition the BOP ordered the prisoners’ purchased food confiscated; then violated the law by placing them in the hole for over 90 days. Inflicting cruel and unusual punishment.

Prisoner Mark Ratcliffe, BOP #06700-046 was one of the many prisoners illegally punished. He advised this writer his experience of almost 6 months in the hole was not a pleasant one.

The higher BOP echelon that caused this torture will probably be promoted.
